Policewoman Struck by Car
A Beverly Hills policewoman was in stable condition at UCLA Medical Center after being hit by a car on Sunset Boulevard early today. Tory Riley, 23, parked her patrol car on Copley Drive at Sunset just after midnight to help another officer transport a felony suspect to the Beverly Hills police station.
As she walked across Sunset, she was hit by an eastbound auto, police said. Riley, who was in uniform, suffered cuts and bruises to her head, said Sgt. Kirk West. The driver of the car that struck her was not held.
