2 Philadelphia High School Stars Sign USC Basketball Letters of Intent

Eric Gathers and Greg Kimble, all-state basketball players from Dobbins Tech High in Philadelphia, have signed national letters of intent to attend USC, the school said Wednesday.

Gathers is a 6-foot 6-inch forward who averaged 19.5 points and 15.1 rebounds last season, and Kimble is a 6-4 guard-forward who averaged 24.5 points and 10 rebounds. They led Dobbins Tech to a 28-2 record and the Philadelphia city title.

Other top high school players who have signed letters of intent with USC are forward Tom Lewis of Mater Dei in Santa Ana, guard Rich Grande of Glendale High, forward Jeff Connelly of Harbor High in Santa Cruz and forward Mike Canada of Hillard North High in Omaha.
