A North Hollywood man who was sentenced to three life terms plus 63 years in prison for holding seven people hostage in a Granada Hills house in 1981 must be resentenced, the 2nd District Court of Appeal has ruled. The justices reduced three of Johnny Lee Moore’s 44 felony convictions from kidnaping for purposes of robbery to lesser charges of false imprisonment with use of a firearm. They also questioned the legality of the multiple sentences for robbery and aggravated assault issued in 1983 by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Richard Kolostian, and ordered resentencing of Moore on all 44 counts.
