Oscar Bejines Headlines Olympic Card Tonight
- Share via
Oscar (Negro) Bejines will headline tonight’s boxing card at the Olympic Auditorium in a junior-lightweight match with Manuel Gallito Juarez. Bejines had been a popular attraction at the Olympic several years ago but had dropped out of boxing when his older brother, Kiko, was fatally injured there in a fight for the vacant bantamweight title in 1983.
Also on the card, the first under the management of Don Georgino, is a 10-round junior-lightweight bout between Fernando Beltran and Jaime Polo and a 10-round lightweight bout between Joey Olivera of Pasadena and James Sowell.
