Alves Throws Third Straight No-Hitter for Burroughs, 11-0
Kristi Alves is atop a hot streak--21 consecutive hitless innnings, in fact.
The Burroughs High freshman tossed her third straight softball no-hitter--second in three days--and struck out 14 in Burroughs’ 11-0 rout of Schurr on Thursday.
The right-hander (7-3) pitched a perfect game Tuesday against Alhambra, winning 7-0. She struck out 16, including the first nine.
Teammates Dina Larson and Diane Holloway helped out Alves with 3-run and 2-run homers, respectively. Barbara Hofer had four hits for Burroughs.
