Benefit Tourney Scores an Ace
The Olive Crest Celebrity Golf Tournament, held Sunday at Irvine Coast Country Club, raised an estimated $24,000 for the Olive Crest residential care program.
Co-chaired by professional football players Jeff Kemp of the Los Angeles Rams and Jeff Rutledge of the New York Giants, the tournament featured several sports and television celebrities and Southern California golfers.
The tournament was co-sponsored by the 20-30 Club of Newport Beach and KWIZ Radio.
Proceeds from the event will go to Olive Crest Treatment Centers’ building fund, among other projects.
Olive Crest is a residential care and rehabilitation program for battered and neglected children ages 6 to 18. A total of 110 children reside in Olive Crest homes, which are located in Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
