New MX Vote Set for Thursday

WASHINGTON — House Majority Leader Jim Wright said today that the House will vote Thursday on appropriating $1.5 billion for the MX weapons system. He said President Reagan clearly has the support to ease the missile over its final legislative hurdle.
By unanimous consent, the chamber agreed today to hold three more hours of debate on the MX--two hours today and one Thursday morning--then vote on the weapons system at noon.
