MOSCOW — A leading Soviet music magazine struck a wrong note today when its latest edition contained an article by top pianist Andrei Gavrilov--almost three weeks after he defected to Britain.
The names of defectors to the West are normally expurgated from the Soviet press. Andropov’s daughter Irina, apparently were unable to have Gavrilov’s article deleted.
