Sex Slaveholders Sentenced

A transient couple who forced an Alaskan teen-ager to become their sex slave for nine months by nearly starving her to death were sentenced today to a combined 23 years in state prison.
Theodore Glaum, 54, was sentenced to 14 years in prison while his wife, Mildred, 36, was sentenced to nine years behind bars by Pomona Superior Court Judge Sam Cianchetti. Theodore Glaum pleaded no contest to 12 felony charges last month including slavery, attempted murder, rape in concert and sodomy, and Mildred Glaum pleaded no contest to nine similar charges.
