The body of an unidentified man was found Wednesday afternoon in a canyon behind the Balboa Park Club, 100 yards north of President’s Way. The body had several superficial cuts and abrasions but no cause of death had been determined, according to Deputy Coroner Jack Larkie. The body was discovered about 1 p.m. by a group of schoolchildren and their teacher. Authorities said the dead man appeared to be in his mid-20s, and was wearing a blue striped shirt, jeans and tan shoes. San Diego homicide detectives are investigating.
