Megatronics Inc., a Tempe, Ariz., manufacturer of equipment used to make printed circuit boards, has opened a new plant in Anaheim, the first of two facilities the company plans to bring to Orange County this year.
The plant, which will employ 26, is the fast-growing company’s first facility outside Tempe. In addition to manufacturing new equipment, Megatronics said the Anaheim plant will house the nation’s largest refurbishing operation for used equipment.
As part of its new expansion drive, 4 1/2-year-old Megatronics plans to open four additional plants, including one in Orange County, during the next five months. The site of the second Orange County plant has not been selected yet, a company spokesman said.
