UCI Tennis Team Wins
The 14th-ranked UC Irvine men’s tennis team improved its record to 8-0 Friday by defeating Illinois, 7-2, in a first-round match at the Arizona State Invitational Tournament at Tempe, Ariz.
The Anteaters were led by No. 1 singles player Bruce Man Son Hing, who defeated Illinois’ Peter Bouton in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3.
Irvine will play 12th-ranked Texas today in the second round.
