Leggett to Attend USC; Harry Signs With Utah
Fountain Valley High School’s Brad Leggett and Carl Harry made verbal commitments Friday to play college football and will sign national letters of intent Wednesday.
Leggett, a 6-foot 5-inch, 250-pound offensive tackle, will attend USC. He is the son of former Lousiana State star Earl Leggett, who played for the Chicago Bears and is now an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Raiders.
Harry, 6-0, 165, will attend Utah. As a wide receiver, Harry caught 42 passes for 616 yards. He is the younger brother of Stanford receiver Emile Harry, who was the Southern Section’s Player of the Year in 1980.
Earlier this week, Newport Harbor tackle Mike Beech committed to UCLA. Beech, 6-7, 268, had narrowed his choices to USC and UCLA before deciding to join the Bruins.
