Fullerton College Plays Host to Cypress

Fullerton College, which has won five of its last six games, plays host to north Orange County rival Cypress at 7:30 tonight in South Coast Conference action.

The third-place Hornets (7-3 in conference and 13-10 overall) are coming off a 62-58 overtime victory Wednesday over Orange Coast. Forward Jon Haymond scored 16 points to lead Fullerton, which trails Cerritos and Mt. San Antonio by two games. The Falcons and Mounties are tied for first.

Cypress (5-4, 11-8) defeated Orange Coast, 50-42, last Saturday to move into fourth place.

In other South Coast games tonight, Orange Coast (4-6, 13-11) is at Saddleback (4-6, 14-10), Santa Ana (2-7, 10-12) is at Cerritos (9-1, 18-4) and Compton (4-6, 9-12) is at Mt. San Antonio (9-1, 22-2).
