Reagan Observes 75th Boy Scout Anniversary

WASHINGTON — President Reagan on Friday helped blow out the candles on a cake marking the 75th birthday anniversary of the Boys Scouts of America and said: “I’m delighted to celebrate anything older than I am.â€
The President, who turned 74 on Wednesday, held a luncheon in the State Dining Room in honor of the Boy Scouts. Seven scouts joined Reagan, his wife Nancy, and Administration officials in celebrating the diamond jubilee of the 4.7-million-member youth organization.
