Jeffrey S. Ohrbach, grandson of the founder of Ohrbach’s department stores, died of an accidental overdose of cocaine, the Los Angeles County coroner said. Ohrbach, 38, was found dead in his Brentwood home on Jan. 4. Bill Gold, a spokesman for the coroner’s office, said Ohrbach died of “acute cocaine intoxication†and had been dead for several days when his body was discovered by a friend. His grandfather, Nathan Ohrbach, founded the department store chain in 1911. The family sold its interest in the stores in 1961.
