Why?

Not again! In your thumbnail sketches (Times, Jan. 30) of the Lottery Board nominees (one woman and four men), the only one whose marital status and number of children were mentioned was the woman, Laverta S. Montgomery. Why, oh, why, is it important to give this information about a woman, but not about a man? I thought The Times knew better.
