Cambodian Literacy Up

BANGKOK, Thailand — Two-thirds of Cambodians registered as illiterate at the end of the Khmer Rouge era in 1978 can now read and write, the official Cambodian news agency said Tuesday. The figure was reported at a meeting called to review the literacy program of the pro-Vietnamese government installed by Hanoi, replacing the regime of Pol Pot.
