Capistrano Valley High School’s full-court press in the second quarter was too much for San Clemente to handle and the Cougars rallied to take a 72-59 South Coast League victory at Saddleback College Tuesday night.

San Clemente led at the end of the first quarter, 24-16, but the Cougar press resulted in many turnovers and Capistrano Valley outscored the Tritons, 21-9, in the second quarter to take a two-point halftime lead.

The Cougars were led by the backcourt combination of Greg Boujnousky and Nathan Call, who was suffering from a stomach flu. Call had 16 points and 11 assists in the win. Boujnousky led all scorers with 20 points.
