Track & Field: Serra, Poly relays top state prelims

Gardena Serra’s Corey Sicard, Ronny Hall, Darrell Fuery and Adoree’ Jackson won their heat and posted the fastest qualifying time in the 4 x 100 relay at the state prelims in Clovis.

Loyola won its heat and ran the second-fastest time (41.39) while Long Beach Poly (41.79), Highland (41.83) and Notre Dame (41.94) also qualified for Saturday’s finals.

Long Beach Poly (45.57) was the top qualifier in the girls 4 x 100, Ontario Colony was third in 46.79 and St. Mary’s Academy (46.90), Vista Murrieta (47.07), Westlake (47.20) and Notre Dame (47.21) will also advance to the finals.
