The sixth inning was full of drama in the City Section Division I semifinal at USC.
Jack Hartman was brought in to pitch for Cleveland holding a 2-1 lead against Marshall. After getting a strikeout, there was a hit batter, catcher’s interference and another hit batter to load the bases.
Hartman, who threw a no-hitter last week, struck out Adan Torres and struck out Alex Sanchez on a 3-and-2 count.
Then, in the bottom of the sixth, Hartman hit a home run off the scoreboard in right field to give the Cavaliers a 3-1 lead. They are three outs away from a trip to Dodger Stadium.
