Jordin Canada of Los Angeles Windward, the top junior girls’ point guard in California and one of the best in the nation, has committed to UCLA, Coach Vanessa Nygaard said Sunday.
It’s huge pickup for the Bruins, who already have a commitment from another top junior guard, Recee’ Caldwell from Texas.
Canada is known for her ball handling skills, leadership and instincts. She helped Windward to a 32-1 record this season and a Southern Section Division 4AA championship.
Canada wants to be a neonatal nurse, and UCLA has a top program.
