Boys’ basketball: Westchester routs Palisades

Westchester assumed control of the Western League with a a 65-42 victory over Palisades. The Dolphins didn’t score for the first seven minutes of the game. Westchester is the only team unbeaten in league play.
Fairfax defeated Hamilton, 69-50. Lindsey Drew had 19 points and Reggie Theus Jr. 15. University defeated Venice, 69-56. Morris Ravis had 17 points, including four three-pointers.
El Camino Real clinched the West Valley League championship with a 64-15 victory over Chatsworth. Evan Wardlow had 15 points. Birmingham defeated Taft, 67-65.
Kennedy pulled into a first-place tie with Sylmar in the Valley Mission League after a 55-50 win over the Spartans. Alex Gonzalez scored 15 points. In the East Valley League, Grant defeated North Hollywood, 55-44. Daleshaun Jackson scored 10 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter.
