When you’re averaging 21.4 points and shooting 93% from the free-throw line (41 of 44), that means you’re doing pretty well. And when you’re a high school freshman, it’s even more impressive.
Max Heidegger has made an immediate impact playing varsity basketball for Encino Crespi (4-3).
He’s listed on the roster as 5 feet 7, 135 pounds and has lots of ways to go in gaining strength, but Heidegger is fearless and that’s a good attitude to have.
Things are going to get a lot tougher once the Mission League begins next month, but he and senior point guard London Perrantes will present problems for opponents.
