Boys’ basketball: Mater Dei scores 137 points in victory

Santa Ana Mater Dei (2-0) was not lacking in offensive contributors on Monday night in a 137-26 victory over Norwalk John Glenn.
Stanley Johnson had 27 points, Elijah Brown 22 and James McGee made five three-pointers en route to a 16-point performance.
Freshman Breland Brandt scored 16 points, had eight rebounds and three blocks in Windward’s 83-36 win over Lou Dantzel. Sophomore Roman Davis added 17 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore Roy Hemsley had 14 points.
Kevin Martinez, a 5-10 senior guard, scored 55 points as Granada Hills Valley Academy of Arts and Sciences defeated Highland Park Academia Avance, 105-26.
Aaron Holiday had 34 points and 10 rebounds in Campbell Hall’s 69-48 win over Los Angeles in the University tournament. Tyler Coppin Carter scored 25 points in Buckley’s 72-39 win over Dorsey. University defeated Chatsworth, 68-57. Victor Nwaba had 21 points for University. Michael Morrissey had 26 for Chatsworth.
Freshman Max Heidegger scored 27 points in Crespi’s 87-47 win over West Valley in the Ocean View tournament.
In the Westchester tournament, Gardena Serra defeated Compton Centennial, 57-48, with Tavrion Dawson scoring 17 points. Westchester defeated San Bernardino, 81-43. Kris Yanku scored 32 points in Taft’s 54-49 win over Washington.
St. John Bosco opened with a 93-33 win over Banning. Daniel Hamilton scored 21 points.
Westlake defeated Flintridge Prep, 71-70. Josh Brooks scored 29 points.
