Boys’ basketball: Parker Jackson-Cartwright is MVP

Point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright finished with 22 points and was named tournament MVP as Loyola defeated Santa Monica, 68-62, in the Torrance tournament championship game. Trey Mason made five three-pointers and finished with 24 points.
In the Pasadena tournament, El Camino Real won the championship with a 62-55 win over Pasadena. Michael Thomas had 23 points and was tournament MVP.
Long Beach Poly won the Redondo tournament with a 60-55 win over Westchester. Roschon Prince scored 26 points. Jordan Bell was MVP. Mathew Grant had 12 points for Westchester.
Westlake won the Simi Valley tournament with a 67-43 win over Valencia. Grant Lozoya had 21 points.
Mission Viejo won its own tournament with an 88-62 win over Foothill. R.J. Yoakum made six three-pointers and had 20 points. Evan Zeller contributed 12 assists.
Damien defeated Thousand Oaks, 60-56, in the Sierra Vista tournament final. Sophomore Jeremy Hemsley had 25 points and was named tournament MVP.
Brentwood won the Mira Costa tournament, defeating Lawndale, 76-65. Leland King was MVP after a 24-point performance.
Crenshaw received 40 points from Andre Edwards in an 81-76 win over San Clemente in the El Modena tournament.
In the Campbell Hall tournament final, Calabasas defeated Campbell Hall, 75-60. Jeremy Lieberman and Max Hoetzel each had 28 points. Aaron Holiday scored 29 points for Campbell Hall.
