Boys’ basketball: It’s a Pasadena-El Camino Real final

Pasadena will take on Woodland Hills El Camino Real in the championship game of the Pasadena tournament on Saturday.

Pasadena knocked off Price, 78-71. Brandon Jolley scored 20 points and had 17 rebounds. Perris Hicks had 20 points. Chance Murray led Price with 21 points. El Camino Real defeated Leuzinger, 50-36. Michael Thomas had 24 points and 10 rebounds.

Westchester advanced to the championship game of the Redondo tournament against Long Beach Poly with a 60-45 win over Gardena Serra. Tyler Batiste scored 14 points.

In the Torrance tournament, Loyola defeated Harvard-Westlake, 80-61. Parker Jackson-Cartwright scored 19 points. Derick Newton had 29 for Harvard-Westlake. Santa Monica received 25 points from Jordan Mathews in a 67-37 win over Fairfax.

In the Corona Centennial tournament, Centennial upset Etiwanda, 76-67. Sophomore Sedrick Barefield scored 29 points and Sam Finley had 27. Jordan McLaughlin led Centennial with 29 points.

Calabasas defeated Chatsworth, 70-41, in the Campbell Hall tournament, with Jeremy Lieberman scoring 19 points. Calabasas will face Campbell Hill in the championship Saturday at 5 p.m.

Orange Lutheran defeated West Torrance, 79-52. Kendall Lauderdale scored 17 points.

Birmingham defeated Granada Hills Kennedy, 64-62. Chris Gonzalez scored 21 points. Grant defeated Granada Hills, 68-44. Sherman Cromartie led Grant with 20 points.

Rancho Cucamonga defeated Sliverado, 64-58. Thousand Oaks defeated Troy, 66-54.

L.A. University won the St. Monica championship with an 80-61 win over Crossroads. The tournament MVP was Darnell Bettis.

Buckley defeated Verbum Dei, 75-50. Tyler Coppin Carter had 20 points. Chase Holliday made four three-pointers. Buckley plays in the University tournament beginning Monday.
