It’s hard to win a football game if you don’t score, so Anaheim Servite had one big goal on Friday night against St. Paul: Score.

After being shutout in consecutive games, the Friars relied on the running of Andrew Moore (151 yards rushing, two touchdowns) to defeat St. Paul, 38-6.

Now the Friars could have a quarterback controversy, because running the offense was sophomore Travis Waller, playing in the absence of the injured Neil Pau’u.

Servite (2-3), a young team that Coach Troy Thomas has always liked, gets to face Santa Margarita (5-0) on Friday in its Trinty League opener.

What an intriguing game that will be. Santa Margarita will play its first game without injured quarterback Johnny Stanton.
