Boys’ basketball: Long Beach Poly wins Fairfax tournament

Long Beach Poly should be everybody’s No. 1 team in Southern California basketball next season, and the Jackrabbits proved it by winning the Fairfax tournament with a 73-54 victory over Pasadena in the final on Saturday.
Roschon Prince scored 21 points, Jordan Bell had 13 and Ke’jhan Feagin made three three-pointers. Ajon Efferson scored 27 points and Andre Spight 18 for Pasadena.
Also having an impressive tournament was Woodland Hills El Camino Real from the City Section. The Conquistadores claimed third place with an 83-63 victory over Studio City Harvard-Westlake. Evan Wardlow scored 22 points and Michael Thomas 17.
Next week’s big tournament is at Bellflower St. John Bosco and begins on Monday.
