A high-profiled coaching job has opened in the San Fernando Valley after the resignation of Andre Chevalier as coach at Westlake Village Oaks Christian. Chevalier confirmed his resignation in a text message on Tuesday.
Athletic Director Jan Hethcock said Chevalier needed more time to take care of his teenage son and teenage daughter, both of whom will be attending Oaks Christian in the fall. He was the coach for two seasons.
Chevalier, who earlier coached at Reseda Cleveland and was the girls’ coach at Oaks Christian, will remain at Oaks Christian as a dean.
Hethcock said the school will begin taking applications for the position on Wednesday.
