Football: Tight end transfers to Mater Dei from Orange Lutheran

Kyle Penniston, a 6-foot-4, 220-pound sophomore tight end at Orange Lutheran, registered last week for classes at Santa Ana Mater Dei, Coach Bruce Rollinson said.

Under CIF rules, he’ll be eligible immediately under the one-time free transfer rule for sophomores to be that will be discontinued after the new school year begins.
