Baseball: Simi Valley salutes Jered Weaver

Simi Valley Coach Matt La Belle said he saw several students wearing Jered Weaver jerseys on campus on Thursday, saluting the 2001 Simi Valley graduate who pitched a no-hitter on Wednesday night for the Angels against Minnesota.
‘They came out in fashion today,’ La Belle said. ‘There was pride.’
La Belle said he watched the ninth inning on television.
‘It was awesome,’ he said. ‘He’s worked hard, and he’s a great guy.’
