Baseball: Sierra Canyon takes over first place in Delphic League

Chatsworth Sierra Canyon moved into first place in the Delphic League with a two-game sweep of Brentwood. The latest victory, 6-1 on Thursday, featured Aaron Landecker striking out six in six innings.
Evan Kantor and Sean Adler each had three hits. Sierra Canyon is 17-4 overall and 5-1 in league.
In the Mission League, Alemany (18-5-1, 5-2-1) defeated Crespi, 2-1. Cory Messmore threw 5 1/3 innings, and Peter Van Gansen got the final five outs for the save. Corey Sims’ RBI triple in the sixth broke a 0-0 deadlock. Van Gansen and Chase Davis had two hits each.
