Baseball: Palm Desert stays unbeaten in league

Palm Desert improved to 8-0 in the Desert Valley League on Thursday with an 8-1 victory over Xavier Prep.

Brooks Kriske struck out eight and allowed three hits in five innings. John Schuknecht and Jacob Clark each hit home runs.

Bishop Amat defeated St. Monica, 8-1.

Loyola defeated Diamond Bar, 1-0. Quinn Brodey allowed two hits in 6 1/3 innings. Chad Powers got the save. Loyola is 17-6-1.
