Football: Jimmy Nolan is the new coach at Carson

Jimmy Nolan, who helped turn around a struggling Compton Centennial football program, has been named head coach at City Section Division I power Carson.

He replaces Elijah Asante, who resigned to become coach at St. Paul. Nolan spent two years as coach at Centennial.
