Boys’ basketball: So much for a Bort Escoto technical fundraiser

Sylmar Coach Bort Escoto has a reputation for receiving lots of technical fouls from the officials, so he was thinking about holding a fundraiser this year.

People would donate money while he’d try to avoid getting any technicals. Someone would win a prize at the end of the season based on his good behavior.

Unfortunately, he didn’t make it through the first quarter of the first game when he was called for a technical earlier this week.

Maybe there should be a fundraiser on how many technicals he’’ll receive. Officials, of course, are barred from participating.
