Football: Upland scores again off a Loyola turnover

With 6:00 in the second quarter, Loyola quarterback Nicolas Cotton lost the ball on a mishandled snap from center on Loyola’s 35-yard-line, and Upland linebacker Kendal Dukes recoverd it at the 33.

A few plays later, Upland running back Donta Abron Jr. rushed for his third touchdown of the half, rumbling 18 yards around the right side to give his team a 21-10 lead with 4:56 in the second quarter.

That fumble recovery by Dukes was his second of the game. He also recovered a fumble by Loyola on the Cubs’ opening kickoff.
