Carson Coach Elijah Asante said Friday that Compton transfer Roger Jones has been cleared by the City Section to play for the Colts in his team’s season opener against Santa Ana Mater Dei.

Jones, a running back, gives the Colts a second high-profile transfer in the backfield. Quarterback Kevin McMahon is a transfer from South Torrance.
