Baseball: Beckman knocks off No. 1 Bonita

Irvine Beckman got a grand slam from Tyler Cook and knocked off top-seeded La Verne Bonita, 8-2, in a Southern Section Division 3 semifinal game.

Beckman will play Pacific Coast League rival Irvine Woodbridge in Thursday’s Division 3 final at 4:30 p.m. at Dodger Stadium. Beckman defeated Woodbridge three times in league play this season. Woodbridge defeated Culver City, 3-2.
