Track & Field: Dorsey boys wins City 4x100 relay

The first running event is in the books at the City Section Championships and Dorsey’s Rashard Clark pulled away on the anchor leg as the Dons won the boys’ 4x100 relay in 41.58 seconds. Carson was second in 42.16 and Birmingham was third in 42.21.
In the girls’ race, Lexis Lambert ran the anchor leg as Woodland Hills Taft won in 47.59, followed by Carson (47.70) and El Camino Real (47.87).
Scoring in all events are awarded as follows: 10 points for first place, eight for second place, six for third place, four for fourth place, two for fifth place and one for sixth place. The top three finishers in all running events qualify for the state meet.
