Freshman Peyton Langston of Rolling Hills Prep played in an all-boys league growing up. Her father, DeAnthony Langston, a former Verbum Dei coach who stands 6 feet 10, said, ‘She’s better than I ever was.’

The 5-11 Langston has led Rolling Hills Prep into the Southern Section Division 6A championship game against Redlands Adventist Academy on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Anaheim Convention Center.

She’s averaging 22.2 points and 7.1 rebounds.
