Quarterback Vernon Adams of Mission Hills Alemany has emerged as one of the stars in the Pac-5 Division playoffs.
He has the Warriors one win away from playing for their first-ever Pac-5 championship, and he has done it with his arm and legs.
He has passed for 2,610 yards and 25 touchdowns. He has rushed for 742 yards and 14 touchdowns. Colleges are finally paying attention. He has picked up a scholarship offer from Eastern Washington and Weber State has expressed interest.
Last week against Lakewood, he was 12 of 19 passes for 195 yards.
Servite (12-0) presents the toughest test yet for Alemany (12-0) in Saturday’s semifinals, but Adams’ skills give the Warriors a shot.
