Sherman Oaks Notre Dame came into its Serra League opener against Loyola with a 1-5 record, but the Knights are tied for first place after Hayden Ross made a 35-yard field goal with no time left to give the Knights a 21-18 victory.

Oaks Christian pulled out a 28-26 Marmonte League victory over Thousand Oaks, stopping a two-point conversion attempt with 36 seconds left.
