Todd Hunt, a senior linebacker who moved from Connecticut to Santa Ana Mater Dei, has had his request for a hardship waiver denied by the Southern Section, making him ineligible for this fall.
He can appeal.
Meanwhile, Mission Viejo had a second linebacker transfer approved for eligibility, this one from Trabuco Hills, Griffin Balmer.
It’s been quite a few weeks for Southern Section officials approving and rejecting transfer eligibility requests.
