Football: QB Max Smith is headed to Kentucky

Max Smith, a 6-foot-5 senior quarterback at Lake Balboa Birmingham, has accepted a scholarship to Kentucky, Coach Jim Rose said Tuesday.

Smith, a transfer from Mission Hills Alemany, passed for 22 touchdowns last season. His size and arm strength certainly made him a quarterback with college potential.
