Girls’ basketball: Bishop Montgomery 29, Harvard-Westlake 26 at halftime

Kristen Ale has nine points to give second-seeded Bishop Montgomery a 29-26 halftime lead over top-seeded Harvard-Westlake in the Southern Section Division 4AA final on Saturday at Cal State Long Beach.
After trailing by 12 points in the second quarter, Harvard-Westlake went on a 10-0 run to reduce Bishop Montgomery’s lead to 25-23 with 2:20 left in the first half.
Nicole Nesbit leads Harvard-Westlake with 10 points, Sydney Haydel has seven and Nicole Hung has six.
Devon Brookshire and Chelsey Aaron have added six apiece for Bishop Montgomery.
