Exavier Edwards capped a seven-play, 63-yard drive by leaping over the goal line for a 1-yard touchdown and Mission Viejo has jumped out to a 21-0 lead over Notre Dame with 6:53 left in the second quarter.
The Diablos are dominating the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Notre Dame has yet to gain a first down in four possessions. Knights’ quarterback Ryan Kasdorf just tried to scramble for a first down but was tackled behind the line of scrimmage, turning the ball back over to Mission Viejo at its own 39-yard line.
Kasdorf is just 4-of-7 passing for 24 yards and has been sacked twice.
