Football: Long Beach Poly taking advantage of special teams

Long Beach Poly has a 24-7 lead with 7:58 remaining in the game after defensive lineman Corey Waller sacked Los Alamitos quarterback Dylan Lagarde in the endzone.

Earlier in the third quarter, the Jackrabbits had a 22-7 lead after defensive lineman Michael Teo blocked Bret Beighton’s punt at the Griffins’ 17 yard line. Jackrabbits linebacker Josh Fassavalu recovered the ball and ran in for the touchdown. Long Beach Poly didn’t score on the 2-point conversion.
