When it comes to individual performances in the Bishop Amat-Mater Dei playoff opener, watch for Bishop Amat’s Jay Anderson and Mater Dei’s Victor Blackwell.

Anderson is the Lancers’ junior running back who has rushed for 1,010 yards and 19 touchdowns. He’s coming off his best effort of the season when he gained 191 yards against Sherman Oaks Notre Dame.

Blackwell is Mater Dei’s junior receiver who’s averaging 22 yards a reception. When the Monarchs do well, Blackwell is usually either making big plays or serving as a decoy to help others.
