Moorpark’s defensive line finally started to make an impact in the second quarter, helping slow Westlake’s offense. But the big surprise was how well Westlake’s defense played in the first half in helping the Warriors maintain a 14-7 lead at halftime.
Moorpark came up with three sacks of Westlake quarterback Nick Isham in the second quarter. Moorpark quarterback Brian Blechen and Brody Rohach were ineffective. But the Musketeers remain within striking distance.
